The Debut Blog!

The Debut Blog!

Hello everyone and welcome to the first of many CWE blogs to come! Canadian Wrestling's Elite is expanding on it's growth of being the most fan interactive company in Canada with a long list of wrestler blogs to come. CWE has excelled in allowing fans to get up close and personal with all the stars of CWE and import stars with its pre-show meet and greet and ever so popular CWE after party's and will continue the trend by allowing CWE fans from across Canada to interact with their favorite CWE stars on an individual basis.

CWE stars such Jon Cutler, Mentallo, Jimmy Jacobs, Chi Chi Cruz, and CWE champion AJ Sanchez have all signed on for the concept and will be debuting their own personal blogs in the near future. CWE has developed a strong following throughout Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan and some very passionate fans at that and now they can stay up to date with their favorite stars travels, upcoming matches, road stories, and Q & A's.

Now onto to some CWE happenings!

There are a lot of new and exciting things going on in Canadian Wrestling's Elite at the moment. CWE is debuting in Fisher Branch, Manitoba on Saturday, Sept 18th with a fundraiser for the Fisher Branch Hockey Association. CWE star "Pimp Daddy" Rick Matthews was born and raised in the town of Fisher Branch and played for the towns hockey team. This will be a homecoming for Matthews who has never wrestled in his hometown. This will also be the first time Matthews challenges for the CWE title as he will be wrestling AJ Sanchez. That is a rare match you will be unlikely to see elsewhere on a CWE event. The TRCW tag team titles will also be defended for the first time on a CWE event that evening.

To say I'm overly excited about Breaking the Barrier on Sept 28th is an understatement. Knowing what's on the agenda for that evening has me excited not only as a wrestler but as a fan as well that evening. From top to bottom this shows looks like it could be the show of the year. So many matches have the potential to be the one talked about the next day. Everyone on the crew needs to bring their working boots on the 28th. Those matches will be announced shortly! I don't advise ever missing a CWE show, but you definitely don't want to miss this one.

There are a lot of changes happening in CWE all in which with time will be for the better. Since the inception of WFX in Winnipeg, a company CWE has had a very positive working arrangement with we have spaced out our Winnipeg dates to every 6-8 weeks to allow enough room for everyone in the market place to survive running "larger scale" events with import talent. This has been a blessing as it has kept us fresh in the marketplace but has also allowed us to focus on our ever increasing schedule outside of Winnipeg and the ability to build our other markets properly.

One thing I have felt since the move to every 6-8 weeks our "home base" show feels more and more like a spot show to me opposed to a show with continued story. With such a gap between shows it is very hard to develop a story and characters as effectively as I would like. Ideally you would like time for things to naturally progress and unfold but with large amounts of time between shows sometimes you feel you need to capitalize while it's hot at risk of loosing attention spans or interest.

CWE will be experimenting by adding a Winnipeg date between the "larger scale import" shows. Starting in October CWE will be adding a show that will feature the Canadian based CWE wrestlers. This show will allow CWE fans an opportunity to fill their wrestling void between bigger shows as well as allow story's within CWE to gain more depth leading into the bigger events. Stay tuned as things develop.

CWE fans can expect to see a lot of new faces and some faces that haven't been around sometime popping up in CWE rings. I firmly stand behind each and every show CWE puts out but I feel a "shake up" is in order. Our crew consists of the best talent in the areas we run events but even some of the best get complacent sometimes. Sometimes guys need to be challenged and given a run for their money to bring out the best of them. CWE is currently seeking more hungry passionate wrestlers who want to take it up a notch and continue to help CWE grow at any costs. Some fat needs to be trimmed to move ahead.

CWE has proven to be a place of opportunity for those who want to get a head in the business and advance to the next level by testing their abilities against the best talent available. Many fresh faces have been in contact with CWE and CWE has been in contact with many fresh faces. If you are a wrestler in the Central Canadian area who feels you can bring something to the table to advance the product or have the passion to grow as a professional get in contact with me. Be a part of the "shake up". CWE needs a full crew of dedicated individuals who want to see this thing get higher and grow in order to get there. Breaking the Barrier on Sept 28th is just the beginning.

So long for now!
